Azerbaijan government successfully pursues youth policy

The Azerbaijan people’s traditions of statehood, which was formed from time immemorial and went through tests of time, kept on existing. One of supports of independent Azerbaijan is, undoubtedly, Azerbaijan youth.
National leader Heydar Aliyev has exceptional services in forming our youth as the individual and Azerbaijan citizen. Youth policy occupies a special place in the rich public policy of national leader.
After national leader Heydar Aliyev`s returning to power in 1993, state youth policy started forming and becoming conceptual. The youth and Sport Ministry was set up in 1994 to pursue state youth policy and coordinate the activity of youth organizations. The first youth forum attended by national leader Heydar Aliyev was held on February 2, 1996. On this occasion, 2 February was designated the Youth Day.
The youth policy was established by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. The Head of State endorsed the state program on Azerbaijani youth for 2005-2009 in order to solve social problems of youth.
The presidential decree on mortgage loans signed in 2005 is the example of care shown to Azerbaijani youth by the government. Today, the government takes measures under the leadership of President in order to improve technical base of educational institutions and apply modern education process. Schools meeting modern standards are being built with funding of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. They are being provided with new equipment and computers.
Presidential order endorsing the state program on Azerbaijani youth study abroad program in 2007-2015 is the manifestation of attention to children. The program opens up opportunity for Azerbaijani youth to study in the world’s leading higher educational institutions.
Azerbaijani youth tries to fulfill the tasks set. Their voice is head in the international organizations, state and governmental organizations and international competitions. The main aim is to lead the youth to the future without any loss. No doubt, it will be so because Azerbaijani youth is ready to achieve new success under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
